The Upper Oyster

After some research this spring with Paul Dempsey and the fresh rain that has arrived to Vancouver Island, it was time to try out a new put in on the upper Oyster river. The new put in leads to two nice rapids and adds a km of river with a few small rapids, except for the notch and the slide. The notch is easy to portage on river left, the slide is runnable on river left next to the wall. We ran it in the morning at 24cms and did a 2nd run, which is in the video, at 20cms.  Look forward to going back with more water. Enjoy the photos and video below.
