Vancouver Island paddlers are rejoicing as the rains have arrived. This means that local rivers are in, and for some of them, it is time to get on to the river for the first time since March.
I recently sold my Jackson Kayak Antix to a stoked paddler, and in replacement, I picked up the New Jackson Clutch (Medium).
This boat is looking to be a very fun kayak for a lot of the local runs close to the Comox Valley and beyond. Have been stoked with the fit, foot room, and the little bit of surfing I have done with it thus far, it also seems to be very stable on the stern for tailee maneuvers.
Seat position – I moved the seat all the back on my first run down the Oyster on Sunday. However, I have now moved it forward one spot, still loads of room, and seems to be easier to control.
This is my 2nd whitewater run on a classic section of the Browns and Puntledge River close to Courtenay, BC.
Thanks to NRS and Western Canoe and Kayak for the Support.
