Day out on the Gold River

Loading up boats in the morning with light filtering through the clouds over upper campbell lake is a pretty good way to start the day, almost as good as a cup of coffee. 20161013-random-colt-karendrinks2718-edit

We had a bit of rain overnight, so our day would find us on the Gold river. This is a beautiful section of whitewater with lots of eddies and great rapids for teaching. We had a mix of rain and sun throughout the day, with some great light for photography.

Even with a few swims, we had some great learning and everyone was quite happy toward the end of the day. Students also styled the last rapid on the middle section of the Gold, ‘Big Bend’.

Enjoy the Photos,
