Canyoning in Corsica

Another Corsican adventure with my friend Tim Starr. We tried a couple of canyons when we visited Corsica. The first didn’t quite work out like we planned, but the 2nd was lots of fun. It took place near the Town of Zicavu

, after a trip down the Taravo river, which will be a post here soon.

Tim planning the afternoon activities

This trip we were on the Ruisseau de Molina. It was an easy entrance and exit, with a great hike through town at the end. There were a number of drops, the biggest was around 35-40ft.

Our Take Out

When we arrived at the Put in Bridge, I met up with Colin Hamilton, who I hadn’t seen since NZ in 2007. Made plans for a beer later as Tim and myself headed off into the canyon. I was wishing for a wetsuit as it was fairly cold out and just had on my fleece gear, semi-dry pants and dry top. Was glad that we would be working a bit to keep warm.  Was truly glad of the Corsican pizza, soup and wine that came later.

The Canyons and Mountains of Corsica are worth a look see. That is for sure.

Enjoy the Images.
