A trip down the Koksilah

A little while ago I was able to get out with a few paddlers from the Comox Valley area and Victoria on the Koksilah river near Cowichan station at a flow of 18cms. The river had a bit of fresh snow and we had a bit of nice sunshine during the trip. The Koksilah is a great run with a few great drops set in a beautiful canyon. The Koksilah has a few stand out drops over the course of the canyon. My favorite is the Monastery section which has a series of three drops with the last one having a slot/boof depending on the water level. Look forward to paddling here again once we get a bit more water on Vancouver Island.
