A double paddle day in the beautiful Comox Valley

It has been raining a fair amount on the east coast of Vancouver Island and the Comox Valley has been going off rivers-wise. A couple of days ago friends and I got in a lap on the Browns and Puntledge at Great Flows. With 40 Cubic Meters of Water on the Browns into 200cms on the Puntledge River. Then later in the afternoon Garreth and I hit the river again for another lap with the Browns at a similar level, however, the Puntledge had been dropped down for high tide so it was running around 90cms. It allowed me to paddle the Jackson Clutch (Medium) in the Morning and then the Dagger Indra (M/L) in the Afternoon.

Check out the photos from the Morning Lap.

As always the Browns/Puntledge combo delivers great fun within a short distance of downtown Courtenay. I look forward to more days on the river between work shifts at the hospital.

See you on the river.
