A day in the Valley

One of the zones that we paddle in on Vancouver Island is the Comox Valley. Within that zone there are a number of rivers that with our recent rains, some friends and myself, were able to get out on three runs within the community.

We started in mid morning heading to the put-in for the Lower Browns which was running at a nice 45cms. There were a number of fun waves, two slides, a waterfall, and then we were at the Puntledge river. The play continued down to our takeout at Puntledge Park. Then we were off to set shuttle on the Upper Oyster. All these runs are within 1/2 drive of the community. It was a wonderful day of paddling on great rivers. Thanks to Paul, Scott and Mike for great day out.
